Classification of casing float collars
The casing float collar can be divided into two types based on its installation position: floating casing float collar and fixed casing float collar.
1. Floating casing float collar
Installed above the casing, it can float the casing and protect the wellbore from being blocked by sediment, preventing collapse of the wellbore wall.
2. Fixed casing float collar
Installed at the wellhead and supported below the casing wall, it serves to fix the casing.
